Grilled chicken pesto

When I was younger, we would grow this big garden. My favorite hing was  we grew all these herbs. For some reason, bail grew much more then the others like rosemary and thyme. We made all these bail dips but my favorite thing was pesto. My mom made fabulous pesto and we mixed it in with pasta. It is my favorite recipe from growing up. It got passed down and know I make it for my family. It is amazing!! Fresh and flavorful the best things to have in a dish! So really fast! Don’t worry, this dish is nearly as hard as it looks. There are three components to making the dish. Pesto, Pasta, and Chicken. The past is easy, just boil water, you don’t do much to make the chicken besides putting it in a saute pan with some garlic, and pesto you just put stuff in a food processor. Its not hard there are just a few extra steps to take before getting the finish product. It is so flavorful!! Juicy chicken, soft pasta, fresh pesto, seasoning. This is  the whole package!! I love it !! When I first got the recipe it called for store bought pesto. I don’t think you should buy pesto for many reasons. Its not as fresh, it taste better if you make it yourself, its overall just more fresh! So I got my old recipe for pesto, made it and mixed it in and it taste much better!! With some fresh cheese it takes the dish out of the world! I wanted to add chicken for a protein so you wouldn’t be eating cheese and pasta with some pesto. I try to make all my dishes healthy for my family so I am not feeding them garbage. Once in a while we eat some good stuff. In fact we are having milkshake night tonight! Milkshakes and I movie, perfect!

Is it storming like crazy anywhere else! We had storms every day last week and are getting thunder and lightning everyday this week! There are flash flood warnings 24seven! I want it to be a warm sunny day but mother nature has something else in mine! My yard is a mess! All these leaves and branches fell down. I have been doing a lot of yard work but I am gonna wait till next week to do the rest. No point in doing in now if more storms are coming!

Blueberry Pie

There is nothing better then fresh picked fruit. Me, my sisters, and grandma used to go blueberry picking all the time. We would have at least 3 pounds of blueberries each time. We would try to make blueberry pastries. I would be eating yougurt and blueberries every day for breakfast!! But my favorite thing we made was this blueberry pie! I will say, the blueberries make a sauce type thing in the pie. They make a sauce when  they get reduced in the heat from the oven. It is so good. I like serving this with some ice cream. The cold absorbs the heat and its like blueberry ice cream!! I love pie. Pie is heaven. I like it then most kinds of cake. Its not to sweet but it bring a nice cozy feeling. It is the number one comfort food! I eat anything to chocolate cream pie to apple to peach! I love pie!! When ever I decided to make a pie it takes my over an hour to find out witch one I want to make! Like do I want a fruit pie, a chocolate pie, a cheesecake? Just what do I want! This is delicious and easy to make! I have a very bust sceduale. I don’t know if y’all know this but I play advanced volleyball on a club team. I also do swim classes everyday. Besides that I cook and bake all the time!! Now you know what I do, I’m not trying to complain but I have been busy. Its the best of the best feeling to come home and have a fresh blueberry pie ready for baking after a long day! All I want is pie and to come home and have one, its a great feeling. M,y dad was never a huge cake fan. He didn’t like the sweetness but he loved pie. Instead of cake we ate pie so pie has a place in my heart. Wow, that was a really dramatic sentence. Aw well, I’m a drama queen sometimes. But I’m not kidding its nice to have a slice of pie (or two)  after a hard day. I love eating after my workouts!!

Lets talk presentation. It you make the dough from scratch, you can double it and put another layer on top of the filling. If you buy it, just put the filling in then bake it. You can do the weaving thing if you want to. What ever you want. I like to have a pie crust on top as well, that is just me because I love crust! To be honest, most fruit pies a I put a top layer of crust on. I just noticed that when I thought of that! Funny how things work out sometimes out. Lets do this thing!

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 4 cups blueberries
  • 1 pie crust, homemade or bought or an extra one for a top layer
  • 1 tablespoon butter

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the blueberries.
  3. Line pie dish
with a pie crust. Pour berry mixture into the crust, and put sliced butter on top
  4. Bake pie on lower shelf of oven for about 50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.

Fudgy Chocolate Cream Pie with Cool Whip

Wow!! Rich Fudgy Chocolate Filling with an Oreo crust and Cool Whip!! Where to begin! Lets start with thechocolate Cream!

As y’all know, I love chocolate!! I have ate things that are really chocolate fudge, sauce, ice cream, cake, bars, and brownies staked on top of each other no joke! I love rich chocolate!! You don’t want to see me on halloween! It takes my days to get back to my normal sleeping scheduale after my sugar high!! Its awesome! You know how sometimes a filling or frosting can be overally heavy?  When I was younger, me and my friend Malina made these cupcakes and instead of making frosting, we made pudding. It was good but I like light fluffy type frosting, the pudding was dense and heavy. This is a little on the heavy side so I added some Cool Whip!

The Cool Whip really helps!! It gives it that extra flavor and it has the light fluffy flavor! The cool whip is optional but I suggest you do it. It gives the pie more flavor! The cool whip goes so nice with the pie crust. Since the pie crust is flaky it absorbs the flavor of the cool whip. I would break the crust into pieces and dip them into cool whip if I could!! I would love it!! With the extra layer of chocolate to settle it is awesome! The chocolate gets in the crust to! To me, pie is basic, a crust with a filling and a topping. I like to keep my pies under 7 layers so all the flavors are concentrated and can get soaked into each other. Thats just my personal thing though. Get creatice and make the pies how ever you want!

  • 1 original pie crust, baked
  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons of corn starch
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 container of Cool Whip ( Optional)

  1. In medium a

saucepan, mix the  sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.

  2. In a medium bowl,

beat milk and egg yolks until smooth. Gradually stir into sugar

mixture. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture thickens and

comes to a full boil. Boil and stir for one minute.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate, butter and vanilla. Stir until melted.
  4. Pour into crust
  5. Spread cool whip on top

Roasted Herb Beef Tenderloin

Y’all saw the title right? You probably did because if you didn’t you probably wouldn’t be reading this. So this has herb AND spice. That is a lot of flavor! I love spices and seasonings. I do!! I love to put a bunch of seasonings on.Like when I make lamb I put herbs and a bunch of seasonings on it. I love to do this with lamb but the best ingredient to do this with is beef. Beef is such a tender rich piece of meat. All the seasonings and textures are on one piece of meat But the finish protect looks and taste amazing. I was always a carnivor. I love rare meat and ribs and big meaty steak. So this beef is up my alley!!!!!!!!!! I love herbs. As a kid we would always, every year  do  a garden. My dad knew how to garden! We would grow tomatoes, squash, peppers, pumpkins, carrots, radishes, even cabbage . My mom would always grow herbs  in these big pots on the deck. We would grow them from seeds and water them everyday and put them in the corner of the deck so they get perfect sunlight. We grew basil, parsley, and rosemary. That was the usual  but we grew other things to. Anyway, the point of this was I grew up growing and cooking with herbs. If you roast something with herbs its always good(if you cook  it right) turkey, chicken, lamb, duck, veal, beef its all cooked a lot with herbs. The herbs juices always soak into the meat and it taste great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love beef. My family has always prefered beef over pork and chicken. We have always loved red meat. Growing up, we had a lot of herbed beef. I wanted to bring it back because it was one of  my favorite meals to have. Served with bread, potatoes, and green beans are the best sides and my personal favorite!! A glass of red wine is the best thing ever to have with this! This stuff is truely amazing! I needed another recipe to put up so I was going threw some of my older recipes and I found this. I forgot about this recipe and it brought back so many memories!

I really want some of this now. That is the problem. I love to blog so I try to do it whenever I can, but I have a food blog. Whenever I post a recipe, I start craving it because its so good! Like seriously I’m dying so lets get started!

Creamy Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccini Noodles

Fettuccini Alfredo

I love pasta! My dad wasn’t Italian but he cooked great Italian food. He made lasagna with 6 pounds of meat, 6 poundsof cheese, 4 cans of whole tomatoes, can after can of sauce, some other stuff. He made wicked chicken Parmesan. Great pizza. So this one is for him!  I love Alfredo. So the original  recipe had no chicken, just pasta with sauce and cheese. It was good but it needed something more for flavor and texture. I realized how unhealthy that must have been. My family is very healthy, I knew it needed protein. I added some grilled chicken and it gave it more texture and juicy flavor. Then I realized it was white in color so I went to my herb garden in my back yard, and got some fresh basil. It needed color! I remember when I was younger I would always plate everything to look pretty. My family would get so annoyed because I would spend so long on playing and all they wanted to do was eat. But I would be like “no, it has to look good!” I’m still kinda like that but I’m getting better. Anyway,  who doesn’t like cheese and pasta and creamy cheese sauce and more cheese! Lets take a minute to think o ourselves if we know anybody who wouldn’t like that………………………………………………………….. did you think of anybody? Me neither! I just love cheese. Cheesy everything. I like cheesy fries!! They taste amazing!! Maybe I can put a recipe for that up! Would y’all like that? Comment if you would! Anyway, this is a 5 star recipe that everybody in my family loves!!

Unless you only want this for dinner, you will need a side or 2. I love garlic bread!! Rub it with salt, pepper, olive oil, butter, and rosemary. Put some 2 cloves of minced garlic on each slice and there you go!! A fresh green salad is nice to so you get a fresh flavor. Bread sticks are awesome to pair with this too!!!! What ever is up your ally. The chicken alfredo is up everybody’s ally! I made this for my uncle who was coming to Maryland from California. He  loved it, I mean loved it. I sent him the recipe, taught him how to make it, I still make it every time he comes down. It is hard to believe how much cheese and how creamy the sauce is!! AMAZING!!!! Well, go make it and enjoy!!

Fruit Punch

Summer!! Hot, humid, a great time for a refreshing drink! I lo0ve fruit punch. Always have, always will.  Its such a refreshing classic drink! No matter how old I get, I will always drink it!! When I was younger I drank it all the time just to make my tongue red! I was and still am crazy! OMG!! Guess what! I got this new short that I am wearing at this very moment that says “don’t let anyone ever dull your sparkle”! You gotta admit, that is awesome! The shirt is kinda big but I am wearing these new white shorts that are adorable. So now that you know my fashion statement, lets talk more about the punch! I got the idea to put this recipe up when I was at a pool party and they had Hawiian punch! I used to drink that all the time! So I decided to put up a less sugar fruit punch and see how it goes! I made this for a 8 year old birthday party. I put them in these plastic cups that looked like Wine glasses. I put water on the edges and dipped it in sugar to make it look pretty. The orginal recipe had4 cups of sugar. I changed it because there is no need for the much in my opinion. I reduced it and added more sherbert. I actually changed this recipe a lot. Its much healthier and less sugary!! This is great for ant type of party! Or, you can just make it on a ordinary day It is so refreshing! It has a fresh fruit flavor and my god is it good! With some ice!! Best time of your life. I love hanging in my pool drinking a glass of this stuff! YUM YUM YUM!!! Life is short, make sure you try this before it ends!! That sounded dramatic but you get the point. Now, this makes 40 servings! Its a lot! When I first made this I  had no idea how much it made.  Imagine my face when I finished it! It wads gone in a day though. My whole family loves it!!!  Then they begged me to make more! We had 80 servings of fruit punch in like 2 days!! There really isn’t much to  say about this besides its amazing so make it!

  • 1 bottle fruit punch, chilled
  • 1 bottle pinapple juice, chilled
  • 1 bottle ginger ale, chilled
  • 1/2 gallon orange sherbert
  • 1/4 gallon strawberry sherbert

  1. In a punch bowl, mix together fruit punch, pineapple juice and ginger ale. Add scoops of both sherbets into the punch. Wait for the sherbet to begin melting, about  10 minutes, stir and serve

Have you ever herd of anything like this in your life? Its summer time, I want to party!! Throwing sleepovers for kids,

hang outs, picnics, parties, I can’t wait!! I have one thing standing in my way, the heat!! Its dead hot!!!! Nothing like ice cream to cool you down!!! I got the idea for this recipe when my friend Janaan gave me a ice cream sandwich recipe. The recipe called for that store bought cookie dough in a package. it said you can get chocolate chip. peanut butter, or oatmeal dough. I decided to use the same idea but bake my own cookie and put my own stuff in it! I put some chocolate and peanut butter chips in, some m&ms for color and flavor, they are cute and easy. The best part is the cookie, it is the bomb! Now, lets talk ice cream!!! I like to go with the solid flavors, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and nepolian. As much as I LOVE cookie dough, for this I like solid plain. But some people disagree and put salted caramel or rocky road. Its your choice not mine. My favorite kind to put in is nepolian!! You have sweet strawberry, rich chocolate, and yummy vanilla!!! It pleases everybody!! I love it!!  This is a wild hit for kids!! I love making them for birthday parties on a hot summer day! All the candy and the cookie and the ice cream! Everybody who eats this turns into a kid in a candy store! Sometimes, I roll them in sprinkles or nuts. Its like those cookie in a cup where it is rolled in chocolate chips!! My second favorite ice cream sandwich. Imagine those cookies below with some ice cream!! Its the bomb! Growing up, I had this love for m&M cookies because of their color. Look how cute the cookies are!

Peanut butter cookies with m&m's and chocolate...

Now, lets talk ice cream again! I like the ice cream to be creamy as possible so before filling the cookies,  I like to leave it out for a little while so it gets really soft! The 2 minutes you take to eat this will be the beat 2 minutes ever! Just don’t get a brain freeze.Thats the only problem with these, and all frozen products.  Just eat slowly and you will be fine! Okay, now let me show you something interesting.

You have multiple choices on what ice cream sandwich. You can but things like cookie in a cup or the plain ice cream sandwich with the chocolate thing. Or, you can have a delicious, creamy, flavorful ice cream sandwich. It will save time and money. Now, you don’t have to go to the store and buy the plain old boring ones!! You have these cool ones!! So…………. how are you guys? I was at the mall for like 4 hours today!I bought some awesome stuff  Y’all want to see a picture of the sandwiches?

I didn’t take these pictures cause I am terrible at taking  pictures so I got others to do it for me! They deserve their credit , that is why I have the box on the bottom!
